Karen Gould
April 1st 2001 my life took a significant quantum leap. I "went to Primes" during one of Zivorad Slavinski's first PEAT Trainings in the US. I have been promoting PEAT as a powerful energy therapy ever since.My formal education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication and Sociology minor from University of North Texas and an Associate Arts from San Jacinto College.
My interest in science and medicine led me to work in a hospital setting. I was priviledged to work assisting some of the finest physicians in the country at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Baylor is a teaching hospital, and I worked as a medical photographer where my duties included surgery and studio photography as well as creating teaching materials for the physicians.
I left Baylor to start a family in the countryside of North Texas. While raising a family I continued my studies in alternative medicine. I studied the Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT, of Gary Craig and followed with interest the grass roots foundation he is responsible for. His generosity and committment to alleviating human suffering is exemplary.
A personal health crisis brought me in contact with the medical intuitive work of Dr. Meredith Young Sowers. Working with a Certified Intuitive Healer from her school, I worked with healing the emotional issues that accompanied my physical illness. Thankfully, I regained my health and determined to take the training that had helped so tremendously my own health recovery. I attended a year long program by Dr. Meredith Young Sowers and am a 1999 graduate of the Stillpoint School of Advanced Energy Healing. Her healing program involves scanning the energy fields with one's hands, interpreting the findings and applying energy remedial techniques. Energy evaluations can be achieved as a remote reading. I include a remote energy scan as part of my new client interview.
My hands on and remote healing training also includes Usui Reiki. I completed my Master Reiki training in 2000.
My work with Zivorad Slavinski from Yugoslavia, now Serbia, began in 2001 at a Chicago, Illinois PEAT Processor training. Able to do the energy scans, I could verify for myself that his work was able to profoundly shift the energetic fields. The ability to do these scans was what first gave me the confidence to do PEAT processing by phone. Today, many processors are also working successfully by phone. After 2 years of applying PEAT with clients, I was given permission to train others in the process. In 2003 I was appointed as a PEAT Trainer. I was the first Trainer appointed outside of Zivorad's Belgrade group. Today there are less than 50 Trainers worldwide.
In 2004 Zivorad asked me to head the Spiritual Technology Association and I served as the Administrator for 2 terms.
In 2005 I completed Coaching Certification with John Overdurf, co-creator of HNLP.
My current focus is not only administering energy therapies, but also creating and supporting the structures that make them publicly accessible. This training website is my current project. I am convinced that using the technology available we can use that technology to make known and advance the pioneering work that is emerging from energy medicine and energy psychology.
